Transcript for College football final rankings will be revealed in a few hours
Now, the big questions in college football are about to be answered. The playoff selections and rankings are ready to be released in just hours from now. We're joined this morning by ESPN's mark Sanchez. He is joining us from Bristol Connecticut. Let's get right to it. We have three undefeated teams left, Clemson, lsu and Ohio state. I listed them in alphabetical order to not show favoritism. Who do you think will be number one? The smart way to list them. Today is the big day. What is the committee going to decide and to me it's lsu. After that dominant performance last night, I called Joe burrow, spoiler alert and sorry to ruin it for everybody but he's your Heisman winner. They're the most dominant team. The real question who will be number two and number three and that's where Ohio state and Clemson get into a grudge match there but we'll see how that shakes out. So we have an idea of who the top three will be. What about that fourth team that is going to get a chance at the national title game. Well, that was going to be all the drama coming into this weekend. After Oregon handled business against Utah and the pac-12 and knocked them out. Really, it's Oklahoma. They've had the best resume so far and had their one slipup early on against Kansas state during the season, but what a story about Jalen hurts leaving Alabama. Now he's got another chance at a national championship with a different school as representing the big 12 as their champion so I think Oklahoma is your clear-cut number four. What are you most curious about when these rankings come out today? I think the most important thing really is it's who is going to be two and who is going to be three because the way the seeding works, number one will play number four at the best site for that number one team, so lsu is going to get the closest draw to their home turf which is obviously Baton Rouge, Louisiana. So they'll play Oklahoma and then it depends who that number two seed is because they'll get really the home field advantage and I know Ohio state would rather play in the fiesta bowl in Arizona. They have a great fan base out there. That's where the drama will be today. Have to wait and see. And you can tune in to "College football playoff selection show" at noon on ESPN. Mark, thank you so much for being with us. Wow. Dan, did you get all that? Well, I'm on the committee so I can't really comment.
