You know our next guest from the hit TV show "This is us" where he plays a young Randall parson. And now he's starting in the brand-new fantasy adventure film "The water man." Take a look at this. Follow me. So do you live here? For now. Till I save up enough money to get my own place. I got a few stories that cost more than a dollar. But I'm telling you, they're worth it. Okay, but I'm still going to need money to buy supplies. Supplies for what? I'm going to find the water man. Come into my office. You know that's a pandemic office I think is what that was. Lonnie Chavis joining us now. Young fella, good to see you my man. People are going to see you in a way they are maybe not used to seeing us you on "This is us." Even the poster for this you stand there with a samurai sword. How much different is this going to look from what we're used to seeing from you? You can definitely see this is different from anything else I've ever done. I feel like this film definitely pushed beyond my limits what can I do and portray on screen and what I can do as a person and a an actor. I have to acknowledge your voice, Lonnie, has completely changed from what when we watched you. Wow, you are growing up literally before our eyes. It's remarkable. "The water man" just came out last week and a directorial what was it like working with David? Mr. David was just one of the best people I've ever worked with in a while. You think it would be so hard for somebody who is not only an actor but also a director. Especially when a director debut because of how many things they have to control. Mr. David had to control the camera angles, had to control other people's lines, his lines, their costumes, his costume. So many things a person in both positions has to manage but he had such a smooth grip on everything. He did everything patiently, smoothly, flawlessly. He always considerate not only for mef but for everybody on set. He was collaborative with everybody on the set and made sure there was love and passion for every detail. We talked about "The water man" here. But again, you have huge fans of the show "This is us." Season 5 is about to wrap up. What is the future of that? And what is it like to reflect, as robach just said, your voice is getting. People have watched you grow up essentially, man. Well, I'm not saying nothing. I'm not saying nothing. I have given away so many spoilers over the years and I'm learning to be quiet. So I'm not saying anything. How many more seasons do you think we have? This is a huge favorite in my house. I'm not saying anything. I'm not saying anything. I'm sorry, I'm -- you're getting nothing out of me. We weren't even lookic for secrets necessarily. We're just asking. You know, what we can expect. Not at all. Not at all. You have clearly been taken to task by somebody over the years about that show. But hey, man, you're a kid. You don't know all the rules to keep everything in play. But man, it's really been cool to watch you. And like you said, grow up. Having a little fun there. But really you have been absolutely, just people have been raving about you. And all these opportunities are now coming. And now "The water man" is there that you are dead set on starring in. So congratulations on everything and we expect big things down the road. Thank you so much. I appreciate it. And "The water man" is out in theaters now.
