warriors in game one last night. Before the tip off we teamed up with warriors superstar Steph curry to give two young fans the surprise of a lifetime. Let's go back to T.J. In Toronto with the story. Hey, T.J. Hello again. That surprise of a lifetime starts with a simple handwritten letter from a little girl. It started dear Steph curry. She spoke so sincerely and passionately. Bottom line is hey, Steph, I got a problem with your shoes. Can you fix it? He listened and he did. This whole journey ends with the little girl having a special assignment at the NBA finals. I got to design a shoe with him. Reporter: The him, 9-year-old Riley Morrison is referring to is three-time NBA champ Steph curry. Steph curry puts it in. Reporter: These two unlikely buds first met in November after a letter written by Riley went viral asking why his line of under Armour shoes didn't come in girls' sizes. I hope you can work with under Armour to change this. Girls want to rock the fives too. Reporter: Since then Riley just 3 years older than curry's own daughter forged a friendship with the basketball star appearing on his YouTube show. What do you call a man with a rub with toe? I don't know. Roberto. Reporter: Even co-designing curry's latest sneaker which she was sporting. If that wasn't enough -- What's up Olivia and rriley? I know it's been a crazy year for you. It's getting sweeter. You guys have been selected at "Good morning America" court side kids. I'll see you at game three. What? You're going to game three. Reporter: That's right Riley along with her big sister Olivia are off to the NBA finals. It's Riley. And Olivia. We're your "Gma" court side toss it back to you T.J. Yes, I'll take it from you here, Olivia and Riley. Guys, it was cool to sit down with Steph curry. We talked basketball. As soon as we said her name, Riley he lit up. He knew exactly who we were talking about. They formed a special bond. Very cool to see. Looking forward to seeing her in a couple days. T.J., tell us what the girls will actually be doing out there. We put them to work, guys. They're going to work media day out there in the bay area. They're going to get access to the players. They're going to work the sidelines. They have an assignment. They just can't sit and watch the game. They're going to love the experience. Yes, I won't have as much of a work load out in Oakland because I've got two helpers. I love it. That's great, T.J. Thanks so much. You can see Steph curry and the warriors take on the raptors in game two of the NBA finals right here on Sunday night at 8:00 P.M. Eastern.
