Let's turn to the space mission set for today. Four astronauts are readto taken the regularly scheduled commercial voyage to deliver crew to the international space station. Gio is covering the launch. Good morning. Reporter: Good morning to you. The crew just woke up. There's the launch pad ready to go. Forecasters say there's a 50/50 chance the rocket lifts off. That's because the west has to be just right at exactly 7:27 P.M. Just hours from now four astronauts are expected to get board on the spacex crew dragon resilience for that historic launch. This morning all eyes on the weather. Will rain, thick clouds or lightning get in the way? Nasa concerned about the rocket lifting off and coming back down after releasing the astronauts into orbit. We'll reuse the first stage we're flying on crew one. It's important to recover that booster. We need to get the drone ship in place. Reporter: 28 hours later, once the astronauts are on the space station, nasa says they'll be conducting transformation Al research, especially when it comes to medical breakthroughs. We talk about creating human tissue in the micro gravity of space. It may relate to people that have macular degeneration. We're creating artificial retinas.
