Oct. 4, 2007 — -- Brides magazine and the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation are holding gown sales across the country to benefit the Making Memories organization, which grants wishes to women with breast cancer and their families.

All tickets for Something Pink events around the country and more information on the campaign -- including how to donate a dress -- are available through www.brides.com/somethingpink.

You can also visit the Making Memories Web site at www.makingmemories.org.

The Something Pink gown sale in New York City on Oct. 4, 5 and 6 features thousands of designer wedding dresses available at amazingly affordable prices. They are all made possible by the generous donations of top designers, bridal salons, manufacturers and brides.

"With this gown sale, we hope to harness the power of the wedding dress an icon viewed around the world as a symbol of hope for the future to impact the lives of seriously ill women in a positive way," said Millie Martini Bratten, editor in chief of Brides.
