Jan. 7, 2008 — -- Martina Navratilova is known internationally as a tennis ace who dominated the sport's scene during the 1980s and early 1990s. Her athletic ability made her a fierce competitor on any surface, whether it was a grass or clay court.

The tennis icon now has a new book out called "Shape Your Self," which is a six-step diet and fitness plan to help readers achieve their best shapes. The lentils and barley can be cooked or soaked overnight, depending on preference and time (as the soaking takes at least 4 hours). I prefer to soak them overnight and then just let the lentils sprout a bit the next day.

In a bowl, combine barley, lentils and scallions; fold in raspberry vinaigrette dressing.
Optional: To add a festive flare to your salad, sprinkle 1/3 cup walnuts and 1/3 cup cranberries. This healthy and hearty salad will make a great addition to any holiday buffet table.

Blend ingredients together in a blender, using organic ingredients whenever possible.

In a blender, process the berries and 1 tablespoon honey until smooth. Strain through a fine sieve. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt with the vanilla and remaining honey. Layer the yogurt and berry puree in 4 parfait glasses.
