Sleep in this sandcastle for $29 a night
But how to keep the sand out of the sheets?
If your childhood included hours spent on the beach trying to construct a sandcastle big enough to actually sleep in, your wish has finally come true.
And you don't even have to lift a bucket.
Booking.com has unveiled a “sandsion" made from 50 tons of sand at Luna Park in Coney Island, Brooklyn. It's eight feet tall and 18 feet long and wide. It was constructed by Matt Long, a master sand sculptor who has fashioned large-scale structures from beaches around the globe.
You can spend the night for just $29 if you act fast. Bookings begin on Aug. 21 at noon ET, and overnight stays will occur over three nights: Aug. 22-24. Included in the $29 rate: dinner for two on the Coney Island Boardwalk, sunrise beach yoga and Luna Park VIP passes.
