June 7, 2011— -- School's out in many states this week, and every parent knows what that means: the kids are home for the summer. Between camp and other activities, the summer can seem like less of a vacation and more of an exercise in patience. One thing you don't need to stress about is feeding your little ones. We've compiled a list of some of our most kid-friendly foods, so at least dinner will be easy.

Chicken Fingers

Chicken fingers are a no-brainer for most kids. They're tasty, easy to eat and generally kid approved. This recipe combines all the crunch of a delicious chicken nugget without all the calories and fat that you want to avoid.

Pigs in a Blanket

Pigs in a blanket were originally a 1950's appetizer favorite. What could be bad: a hot dog in a flaky croissant-like dough? Rocco DiSpirito found a way to keep the delicious taste without all the calories and fat. So, give these a try the next time you're stuck looking for a snack.

Grilled Cheese

Many would argue that the grilled cheese is the best thing to happen to two pieces of bread since the invention of the sandwich. iCarly actor Reed Alexander determined that the classic sandwich, whiledelicious, was missing some essential elements.
