Kayla Itsines' Quinoa Porridge With Fresh Figs Recipe
A Healthy and Delicious Breakfast
Kayla Itsines became a fitness sensation with 6 million Instagram followers for her high-energy workout routines and videos. Now she's sharing her meal plans for health eating in a new book, "The Bikini Body 28-Day Healthy Eating & Lifestyle Guide." Try her breakfast recipe for quinoa porridge as seen on "Good Morning America."
In a small saucepan, bring 1/2 cup of water, vanilla, and half of the milk to the boil over high heat.
Add the quinoa and reduce the heat to low.
Simmer for 5 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally.
Meanwhile, place the yogurt and maple syrup in a small bowl and mix until well combined.
To serve, pour the quinoa porridge into a bowl.
Top with the remaining milk, sliced figs, and maple yogurt.
