Now to secretary of state John Kerry back on U.S. Soil this morning after breaking his leg overseas. Kerry was flown back overnight on a military plane and will undergo surgery this morning. ABC's Jon Karl is at the white house with the latest. Good morning, Jon. Reporter: Good morning, robin. This is a serious injury and it comes just as Kerry was in the midst of intention negotiations over Iran's nuclear program and the battle over Isis. State department officials say he's continuing to work the phones from his bedside. Talking to the Spanish foreign minister yesterday and other european leaders this morning. He's promising a rapid recovery. But robin, an injury like this could keep him from traveling for weeks. He's making the calls, not taking a day off. They want to know, will it impact important talks? That's the big question I the deadline for those Iran talks is the end of month.
