The prince is said to be longing to return to the cockpit. This time as an air ambulance pilot and ABC's lama Hasan is tracking this story in London. Good morning to you, lama. Reporter: Hey, good morning to you, Lara. It sounds like prince William isn't quite ready to become a full time royal just yet. All that hand shaking, planting trees, et cetera, oh, no, the prince instead wants a day job and he wants to fly again. ? could it be prince William to the rescue once again? This morning it seems prince William is not quite ready to hang up that search and rescue helmet of his. New reports on Sunday say that instead of taking on his royal responsibilities full time, wills is allegedly contemplating a return to the skies. This time as an air ambulance pilot based closer to the country home he now shares with wife Kate and son George. I think the queen will be supportive of him and wants had him to be happy. Reporter: Before he had a little heir to help care for, prince William was an avid air man, just a year ago he hung up his gear after three years as a search and rescue pilot in the royal air force. As a pilot with a nonprofit east anglian air ambulance, William would join a crew with an average of four ins depps a day including life-threatening situations such as road traffic accidents and medical emergencies.
