"Gma" exclusive. Wait for it. The world's ugliest dog. The competition was stiff, but peanut reigned supreme. John Mathison was a judge, and revealed what put peanut over the top. Reporter: It's the competition of all competitions where the underdogs become the alpha dogs. We are always like that. Reporter: And the winner isn't the best in show -- but perhaps the worst. Everybody said we had the world's ugh I lest dog and go to the contest, we did. Reporter: It was the 26th annual world's ugliest dog contest held at the fairgrounds. You realize that beauty is subjective. Reporter: Who's to judge? Would you believe me? In an ugly sort of way. But the canine that took home the crown -- Peanut. Peanut was burned as a puppy, and we want his face out there to show what can happen to dogs that are abused. And so I want everyone to feel it in their hearts this is what happens. We need to put a stop to it. Tell me about peanut. He seems calm and sweet. When he's at home, he does nothing but play with toys. He loves dog beds. Dog beds are his favorite thing. And he's very love. He's a cuddle-bug. Hi there, cuddle-bug peanut. We think you're beautiful. It's a really great message. Thank you so much. Thank you. You can see all the dogs in the running for the world's ugliest dog at good morning And ginger, how about the
