Transcript for Scott Eastwood Talks 'Suicide Squad' on 'GMA'
We are back with "Suicide squad" star Scott Eastwood. He plays one of the good guys rounding out those supervillains for a major mission and looks like they're about to run into some trouble. Take a look. We got people up here. I'm on my way. Rick. What do they look like? Stay cool. What's it like playing the good guy around all of these supervillains? It was fun. It was sort of like baby-sitting. I mean, I can honestly imagine what it was like because we had the whole cast here, will smith and the gang earlier this week and, wow, they are full of energy. Yeah. A lot of pranking going on. Tattoos happening. Did you get a tattoo. No, will and I didn't get tattoos. We sort of looked at each other and said -- I think it was a good choice. Yeah. I saw Joel's. It was quite large. Yeah, did you see that. That was pretty big. What was it like working with that incredible cast? It was great. You know, will and Margot and Jared -- you know, they're just the best. Name dropping because there's too many to count. The hype is huge. The reviews coming in are amazing. How did you get involved in the first place? What was that call like? David gave me a call and -- You know just like it was a Monday, random. Called me on my cell and said I have this thing. I don't really have a script but will you come and do it. I said, yeah. I'll do a thing. I'll do a thing for you. He likes to keep -- David likes to keep things as real as possible. He does in so he apparently he had real special forces guys with you all to make sure it was legit and looked super real for the fans watching. Yeah, he does that on all his films. He kind of keeps the same guys with him on all his flips. "Fury" and, you know, all the films so it's really nice. You certainly are like the squad guy because you've joined another major squad, "Fast and furious" with Charlize Theron. Yeah. What's that cast? Like I can't even imagine what it's like to be you with all these incredible franchises. It's really nice. You know, they've really brought me in to their family and it's been an amazing experience. You've said your dad, Clint Eastwood is an old school type of guy. I think we all kind of get that. Yeah. Get that feeling from him. What does he think of the economy Len yell culture like I don't know pokemon go? I'm teeing you up for something. I've seen the memes. We've all seen the memes. I don't even think my dad knows what that is. Can we put it up. We actually had to blur out one of the words. Is that something he would say? 100%. If he knew what pokemon go was. If he knew what it was I think he would say something? That facial expression too. What's the best advice your dad ever gave you? Listen, shut up and listen. Do you heed his advice? I hope I do, you know. Now, I also -- I want to make sure because a lot of people might recognize you from a little video. Taylor swift did. Yeah. Yeah, it's a pretty beautiful one. "Wildest dreams." Do you see any projects in the future with Taylor? Well, I don't know -- You guys have on screen chemistry for sure. Yeah, she's the best. I'll tell you, I have the utmost respect for her because she's just a great role model to kids and women and young women and she's obviously puts out some great music. Well, I mean you put out some incredible movies. We can't wait to watch what's in your future. "Suicide squad" is the latest. Scott Eastwood, thanks for being with us. Thank you for having me.
