Eligibility Guidelines:

Entrant (“Entrant”) is the one who submits the Entry. Entrants must be legal residents of the 48 contiguous United States or the District of Columbia and 18 years of age or older.

Contest sponsored by Good Morning America ("Show") and American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. (collectively, "Sponsors").

Any individuals (including but not limited to employees, consultants, independent contractors, and interns) who have, within the past six months, performed services for Good Morning America ("GMA"), American Broadcasting Companies, Inc. ("ABC"), any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising or promoting the Contest or supplying the prize, and their respective parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, and immediate family and household members of such individuals, are not eligible to enter or play. "Immediate family members" shall mean parents, step-parents, children, step-children, siblings, step-siblings, or spouses. "Household members" shall mean people who share the same residence at least three months a year.

Contest Entry Period: Good Morning America’s "Wake Up & Win" Contest (the “Contest”) begins Monday, September 15, 2014 at 7:00 am Eastern Time ("ET") , and ends on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. ET (the "Contest Period"). Sponsor computer is the official clock for this Contest.

How to Enter:

The Monday, September 15, 2014 broadcast of “Good Morning America” broadcast will include a code word (“Code Word”) sometime between 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. that Entrants will need in order to gain access to the Entry Form online. “Good Morning America” will signal on the broadcast to viewers which segment (“Key Segment”) will contain this Code Word in one or more of the following ways: a) an on-air graphic, and/or b) a verbal mention by one of the “Good Morning America” anchors.That broadcast will also include a description of the prize (“Prize”) and its approximate retail value.

Then, to enter the contest, navigate the Internet to www.goodmorningamerica.com and click on the link for "WAKE UP & WIN" which will take you to the Gated Entry Page. (“Gated Entry Page”). Once on the Gated Entry Page, you will find a description of the Contest, and then an overlay (“Overlay”) with instructions on entering the Code Word.

In the box provided on the Overlay, enter the letters of the Code Word in Capital Letters that was given out on Monday’s broadcast.

YOU MUST ENTER THE LETTERS FOR THE CODE WORD IN CAPITAL LETTERS CORRECTLY IN THE BOX ON THE OVERLAY IN ORDER TO GAIN ACCESS TO THE ENTRY FORM (“ENTRY FORM”). DO NOT ADD ANY PUNCTUATION, ADDITIONAL CHARACTERS, OR SPACES. YOU WILL SEE AN ERROR MESSAGE IF THE CODE WORD IS ENTERED INCORRECTLY. IF THE CODE WORD IS NOT CORRECTLY ENTERED WITHIN THREE (3) ATTEMPTS, YOU WILL BE PROVIDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO WATCH THE SEGMENT VIA AN ONLINE LINK (WITHIN 60 MINUTES FOLLOWING THE EAST COAST BROADCAST OF “GOOD MORNING AMERICA”) TO FIND THE CODE WORD. AFTER YOU WATCH THE SEGMENT ONLINE, YOU WILL HAVE UNLIMITED ADDITIONAL ATTEMPTS TO ENTER THE CORRECT CODE WORD BEFORE THE CLOSE OF THE ENTRY PERIOD.

Once you enter the correct Code Word, the Entry Form will be revealed which will ask for your contact information. It will also provide you with the appropriate and acceptable file formats and sizes for submitting your entry electronically.

You will also be asked to submit an essay, no more than 200 words, stating why you deserve to win the Prize.

Fill out the Entry Form in its entirety.

Upon submission, you will see a thank you message on your screen indicating that you have successfully entered. You will not receive a further acknowledgment.

You warrant and represent that all of the Materials submitted by you are original to you (and not based on or derived from any other materials), that you own all necessary rights in and to the Materials which are fully transferable, and that you are not subject to any agreement which would interfere with your ability to enter into this Contest or grant all of the rights to be provided hereunder. Accordingly, you further warrant and represent that you have the right to enter into this agreement and grant the rights hereunder without the need for permission from or payment to any other party. In addition, you warrant and represent that the exercise of the rights set forth herein and in the Contest Rules by the Sponsors will not violate any third party rights and will not violate any contractual obligations or confidential relationships which you may have to or with any third party.

Any entries submitted with inappropriate or offensive content will be immediately disqualified. No entry may be submitted in any other contest or promotion.

Multiple entries per e-mail address per Contest Period are permitted.

Judging Procedure and Notification:

A random drawing will be conducted within twenty-four (24) hours after the end of the Contest Period. Twenty-five (25) Finalists (“Finalists”) will be randomly selected during that drawing.

The essays submitted by those twenty (25) Finalists will then be judged by designated Good Morning America staff on the basis of potential for on-air appeal, compelling nature and overall readability of essay. The Finalist with the highest overall score will be declared the Grand Prize Winner (“Grand Prize Winner”) of the Prize. In the event of a tie, the Finalist with the highest score in the compelling nature category will be declared the Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize Winner will be notified by email within seventy-two hours following the random drawing.

Decisions of the judges are final as to all contest-related matters.

In the event that the Grand Prize Winner is deemed ineligible, fails to comply with Contest procedures, does not respond to the notification email within three days, or is not able to receive the Prize as specified, then the first runner-up Entrant will be selected as the Grand Prize Winner, time permitting.

Prize:

The Grand Prize Winner will receive a luxury 8-day (7 nights) South African safari and Cape Town vacation for two, which, subject to availability, includes:

• Two round-trip business class tickets on South African Airways from its US gateways (New York JFK or Washington Dulles) to Johannesburg or Cape Town. Domestic U.S. flights to from Grand Prize Winner’s home airport to New York or Washington Dulles are NOT included.

o Anticipated Itinerary (subject to availability and change):

Arrive in Johannesburg, ground transfer to Marataba Safari Lodge for 2 nights

• Includes: Accommodation for two, all meals and game drive refreshments, park entrance fees and two safari drives per day with an experienced field ranger

Transfer back to Johannesburg, flight to Cape Town, transfer to Cape Cadogan for 3 nights

• Includes: Luxury accommodation for two, breakfast (depending on availability), teas/ coffees, evening canapés, ports and sherry, scheduled chauffeured waterfront transfers, and Wi-Fi.

Transfer to airport, internal flight to Kruger, ground transfer to Lion Sands Kruger National Park for 2 nights

Includes: Luxury accommodation for two, three meals per day and game drive refreshments, park entrance fees and two safari drives per day with an experienced field ranger

Flight back to Johannesburg for international transfer home

oAll South African internal ground transfers and South African domestic flights are included.

Terms & Restrictions for Prize:

Each passenger will be responsible for applicable travel taxes and fuel surcharges. Prize is valid for travel between April 1, 2015 and November 30, 2015. The tickets are subject to promotional seat availability and the following blackout period, when travel is prohibited: July 1 through July 31, 2015. Once issued, tickets are non-transferable. Changes fees of $250 per ticket are applicable once tickets have been issued.

1. Travel insurance, excursions, personal spending money and items not explicitly mentioned in the prize description are not included. Additional personal tours may be arranged and trip may be extended at applicable costs, depending on availability of flights and accommodations. All travel is subject to the terms of conditions of Audley Travel US Ltd, which can be obtained by calling 1-855-838-8300.

2. The prize and all elements included within it are subject to availability. Grand Prize Winner should call to verify dates as soon as possible for greatest availability.

3. The prize winner and accompanying guest must be age 18 or over. The prize is based on sharing a twin or double room.

4. The Grand Prize Winner and Travel Companion must hold valid passports which allow entry to South Africa and are responsible for obtaining any necessary visas (not required for U.S. or Canadian citizens).

All expenses not included in the prizing information above are the sole responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner. The Grand Prize Winner is not entitled to exchange or transfer prizes or to obtain cash or other substitutes, but Sponsors, in their sole discretion, may substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Federal, state and local taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Winner, who will receive an IRS Form 1099 reflecting the final actual value of any prize valued at $600 or more.

The Grand Prize Winner will also receive a cash award (“Award“) from the Sponsors. The Award, which is also taxable, is meant to be used toward the Winner’s Federal, State and Local income taxes (“Taxes”) due on the Prize; however, neither Sponsors nor Prize Providers make any representation or warranty that this Award will be sufficient to pay all of the Grand Prize Winner’s federal, state and local income tax liability on the Prize, which is solely the responsibility of the Grand Prize Winner.

The approximate retail value of this Prize is: $37,500. Actual retail value will vary, based on factors including the dates of the trip.

Releases:

By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of the Sponsor/Judges, which shall be final in all respects. By entering the Contest, entrants and Winner agree to execute any and all paperwork requested by the Sponsor which may include, but is not limited to, a background check prior to any on-line or on air appearance of entrant, or entrant's submission or related materials, and receipt of Prize by Winner.

All submissions will become the sole property of ABC, which may reprint or otherwise exploit the entry in any manner, in any media. Winner may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility, release and indemnification within seven days of notification of winning. By participating in this contest and accepting any prize that they may win, entrants agree to release American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., its parent, subsidiary, affiliated and successor companies, advertising and promotion agencies and prize suppliers, and each of their respective officers, directors, agents, representatives and employees, as well as each of their respective successors, representatives and assigns (collectively, the "Released Parties") from any and all actions, claims, injury, loss or damage arising in any manner, directly or indirectly, from participation in this contest and/or acceptance or use of any prize.

Entrants authorize the Released Parties to use their name, voice, likeness, biographical data, city and state of residence and entry materials in programming or promotional material in any and all media currently in existence or hereafter created, worldwide in perpetuity, or on a Finalists’/Winner's list, if applicable, without further compensation unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not obligated to use any of the above mentioned information or materials, but may do so and may edit such information or materials, at Sponsor's sole discretion, without further obligation or compensation.

By submitting entry materials, entrants certify that such materials are original and created by entrant, that entrants have the necessary rights, permission and authority to submit such materials, and, if applicable, that entrants maintain a valid copyright in the materials. Entrants acknowledge that such materials may be included and/or discussed in a broadcast, that such discussion may include statements or opinions by the broadcast talent or others about the entrants, the entrants' appearances and/or the materials, and that those statements and opinions may be considered surprising, humiliating, embarrassing, derogatory, defamatory or otherwise offensive or injurious to them, Sponsor's employees, its studio or at-home audience and/or other third parties. Entrants release the Released Parties from any actions, claims, injury, loss or damage allegedly caused, directly or indirectly, by any such statements or opinions made during a broadcast.

Sponsor is not responsible for failed, partial or garbled computer transmissions, or for technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to electronic malfunction or damage of any network, hardware or software. If for any reason the contest is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the contest, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the contest. No responsibility is assumed for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; or any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or electronic entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web-site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials from this contest. In the event of a dispute over an electronic entry, prize will be awarded to the owner of the e-mail account, not the name on the entry form.

To claim prize: (a) Winner must provide proof of age, identity and residency and (b) Winner and Travel Companion (or, if Travel Companion is a minor, guardian thereof) must sign and return the required affidavit of eligibility/compliance with rules, publicity/liability release and indemnification.

Miscellaneous; Winner Posting:

Void where prohibited. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.

Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process and to cancel, terminate, modify and/or suspend the contest in the event of tampering or other circumstances, including but not limited to acts of God or civil disturbance that render it impractical or impossible to complete or fulfill the contest as originally planned.
