— -- Question: Can a person have an allergy for a long time and not know it?

Answer: People can have allergies for many, many years and many people think that it's normal because they've been that way for a long time. Many people think that their allergies are just colds recurring. Some people think that they have sinus, which they may have as a result of allergy, and sinus infections can be caused by allergies causing the sinus membranes to swell and then the sinus infection occurs, and then people think that they just have a sinus infection because that's the predominate problem caused by the allergy.

And so, therefore, we know that sinus infections and allergies and asthma, snoring, sleep apnea and gastroesophageal reflex are all connected and we've actually now come up with a new term "chronic airway digestive inflammatory disease," CAID, which describes all these problems and many of you may have more than one of these problems.
