Jan. 01, 2009 -- Question: Will I be able to have an orgasm after prostate surgery?

Answer: Prostate cancer surgery can have many effects on both the urinary and sexual function of a man. Commonly though, sexual sensations such as climax and orgasm is not interrupted or affected by surgery. There can be changes of other forms, and erectile dysfunction can be common, but surprisingly whether or not a man is able to have an erection, the ability to have an orgasm is usually preserved.
