Answer: Well, I think the most important considerations before you start your treatment would be to make sure that you're well educated on the different treatment options, that you're comfortable with the information that your physician has given to you, and that you're also comfortable with the decision that you make. For instance, there's a lot of situations where multiple treatments might be reasonable options for a patient, and it can sometimes boil down to the patient's accepting of that treatment option as something that they feel is best for them. And this can actually impact outcomes in terms of quality of life.
So being well educated and being comfortable with your decision, those are both very important factors.
