Answer: Similar to following radiation therapy if the radiation fails, surgical removal of the prostate is possible. It is very difficult. Following cryosurgery, if the treatment fails, a patient could have a second cryosurgery performed, or they could have the prostate removed. But it will be much more difficult -- the same as after radiation treatment.
