— -- Question: Can stress be causing my bad breath?

Answer: It's not impossible that stress is causing bad breath. There is a link between gum disease and stress, which may influence bad breath -- or halitosis, as it's also known. One of the other factors that actually might come into play is that stress may cause you to be lax with your oral hygiene which is likely to have an effect on your breath. So taking care of yourself could be a factor in limiting the bad breath symptoms.
