Trump says damage to Iran's nuclear sites is 'far below ground level'

Iran supports the continuation of talks with the three European countries -- the UK, Germany, France -- and the European Union that the Iranian Foreign Minister met with in Geneva on Friday, but criticized the lack of condemnation of Israel's attack on Iran, Iran's foreign minister said Friday in statements reported in Iranian state media.

"We support the continuation of talks with the three European countries and the European Union and are ready to hold another meeting in the near future," Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, according to IRNA, Iran's state media.

Araghchi said Israel must stop its "crimes and aggression" and added that Iran will not negotiate with any party as long as Israeli attacks continue, according to IRNA.

"Our nuclear program is peaceful and is under the supervision of the International Atomic Energy Agency," Araghchi said, according to the IRNA.

At least 31 people were wounded in an Iranian missile strike on Haifa, Israel, according to the Rambam Hospital.

One of the injured is in serious condition, and two are in moderate condition, the hospital said.

"The Al-Jarina Mosque in Haifa’s Wadi Nisnas neighborhood was struck by an Iranian missile, injuring Muslim clerics and worshippers at prayer," Israeli President Isaac Herzog said in a post on X.

Officials from the United Kingdom, Germany and France said there were no major breakthroughs in the talks with the Iranian foreign minister in Geneva Friday, but both the UK foreign minister and the French foreign minister said the three countries are open to continuing discussions with Iran.

The European leaders met with Iranian diplomats on Friday.

The Iranian foreign minister said he was open to continuing discussions and we expect Iran to be open to more talks, the French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said after talks ended.

"We were clear, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon," UK Foreign Minister David Lammy told reporters. "It is hugely important that we don't see regional escalation of this conflict."

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot said military operations can delay but not eliminate Iran's nuclear ambitions, that's why diplomacy is the only way.

Russia has submitted "some proposals" to Iran and Israel that would end the war between the two countries and the proposals are being discussed, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a speech Friday.

"We do not seek mediation, we just offer ideas. Not so long ago I spoke with Prime Minister Netanyahu, and with the President of Iran, with the President of the United States -- who, of course, are directly involved in all these processes -- presented them with my vision of possible progress towards resolving the situation," Putin said.

"Let's see, now our proposals are already being discussed, we have contacts with our Iranian friends on an almost daily basis. We'll see. I would very much like this, including our ideas, to be implemented," Putin said.
