Stunt Planes Collide in Mid-Air But Pilots Manage to Land

Despite clipping one another's wings, both pilots managed to land.

— -- Two Red Bull stunt aircraft collided in mid-air on Thursday while performing at the Aero India air show, but the pilots, who were unharmed, managed to land safely, eyewitnesses said.

The aircraft were part of a three-plane formation and clipped one another's wings while attempting an inverted loop, a video shows. The wingtips of both aircraft were damaged, but the pilots managed to stay in control.

The planes from the Flying Bulls stunt team from the Czech Republic were performing in the air show held on the outskirts of Bangalore city in southern India.
