— -- A group of youths were caught on dramatic video pushing a car down the stairs of a subway station near Brussels -- but miraculously no one was hurt, according to officials and several videos.

The incident happened at the Clemenceau metro station, in the Anderlecht commune, around 8 p.m. in the southwest part of the city on New Year's Eve, according to videos posted online and witnesses. The cause of the incident is unknown.

According to Guy Sablon of the Brussels Intercommunal Transport Company (STIB), nobody was in the car at the time.

"Youngsters pushed a small car...down the stairs of Clemenceau metrostation...and the car finished on the platform and hit a wall," he said. "Luckily no one was hurt."

According to Sablon, the station was closed for the rest of the evening and the car was removed by putting it on a special train.

The station reopened today.

It was not clear if arrests were made.
