— -- An adorable photo of an on-duty Texas police officer caught giving his little girl a smooch is warming hearts all over the Internet.

The picture captured Sergeant J. McRay, who, after having his dinner on the job, received a visit from his toddler daughter.

Sgt. P. Rodriguez, public information officer for the Arlington Police Department, told ABC News that it was 7:40 p.m. one night earlier this week when McRay's 4-year-old finished ballet and wanted to kiss her daddy.

McRay's wife and daughter then surprised him during his evening shift where mom snapped a photo of the pint-sized ballerina locking lips with her father.

"The community support has been amazing and something like this really shows the humanistic side to our noble profession," McRay said in a statement through his police department.

The photo, which was posted on the Arlington Police Department's Facebook page on Oct. 19, has since received over 18,000 shares.

"We agree with him [McRay] whole-heartedly," Rodriguez said. "It shows the fact that we are not just police officers. We are someone's son or daughter, brother, sister, friend. But more importantly, we play the role of parent. We are all human beings."
