— -- Carly Stene and Blake Bullinger are college seniors from Kansas who recently celebrated their second year of dating.

To mark the milestone, Bullinger, 21, of Colwich, gave Stene, 22, of Lenexa, a jewelry armoire that he made himself from scratch.

The armoire contained hooks for hanging her necklaces and foam for holding her earrings. Inside the various drawers, the creative Bullinger had also secreted away many other smaller gifts: a giant Rice Krispies bar, granola bars, brownie mix, summer sausage, Twix bars, and a candle.

Oh, and one more present: a little box containing an engagement ring.

Video of Stene going through the armoire at her family home has gone viral in the past couple of days.

The video shows Stene looking shocked when she finally gets to the bottom drawer, and, after some prompting from Bullinger, locates the ring box. She opens it and starts to cry. Bullinger gets down on one knee and asks her to make him "the happiest guy in the world" and marry him.

Stene appears so overcome that she can only nod her assent, and then he lifts her up for a hug.

Stene told ABC News in a Tuesday interview that she posted the video to YouTube on Oct. 10, a day after Bullinger popped the question while her parents and his mother watched.

At first, the video had views numbering only in the single digits, but the numbers ballooned to 14,000 on Tuesday, she said. As of Tuesday night, the video had been seen nearly 16,000 times on YouTube.

Stene still doesn't quite know what to make of the video going viral now.

"I mean, we're kids from small towns in Kansas so this is a big thing that we're getting all of this attention all of a sudden," she said, adding: "We're really humbled by it."

Stene, a senior at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, is a senior who's majoring in clinical lab sciences. She met Bullinger at a church retreat at the university. He's also a senior, and is majoring in automotive management.

Although the two had discussed marriage, Stene said she had no idea Bullinger was going to ask her when he did.

She said her now-fiance initially didn't want the armoire presentation filmed, adding that he didn't think what he did was so remarkable.

YouTubers beg to differ.

"Wow, a fab piece of furniture, and what a romantic thing to do ... Congrats and May you both live along and happy life together. You two look wonderful together. Greetings from Ireland BTW," one viewer wrote.

Another added: "BEST on the web, you sir are a class act. All the best to you and your lady."

The two plan to wed in July 2015.
