— -- A new cooking show is promising viewers a side of celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay they haven’t seen before: That of doting dad.

In “Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch,” Ramsay’s 13-year-old daughter Matilda (though she likes to go by Tilly) will be cooking up family recipes on the BBC alongside the entire Ramsay bunch, which includes Gordon, mom Tana and siblings Megan, Jack and Holly.

“I’m proud and incredibly excited for Tilly’s natural connection with food to be displayed on screen for the first time,” Ramsay told ABC News.

ABC News caught up with Tilly to find out what viewers can expect from the show, plus snagged one of her recipes for Whoopie Pies.

When did you first start cooking?

“I have been helping in the kitchen since I was very little – just getting involved with my mummy or daddy when they were either doing books or just cooking dinner. I love to learn in that way, and when I got older, I was able to do my own dishes, and I really loved doing that. I especially love making desserts and treats!”

What are your favorite things to make?

“It always has been meringues! However, I have now become much more adventurous. I love making food from different countries and experimenting with old favorite dishes and putting my own twist on them. As daddy always says to me, ‘You don't have to follow any rules or recipes; you just have to make sure you taste it all the time to make sure it is good!’”

What can we expect from ‘Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch'?

“I just hope people find my show fun to watch and that they want to try to cook the dishes themselves and enjoy making delicious food for their families. Some people tell me that they are scared to cook and that it looks really difficult, but I tell them that it is really not scary and the more you do it the easier it is. I think that the thing I most want to share with people who watch it is the fun of cooking and the ways that you can eat foods you may not like (maybe broccoli...or some other vegetable) in ways that may be more delicious!”

Is your dad very involved in the show and your cooking?

“Daddy is in the show because it was filmed at home when we were all on holiday having family time. He loved to sneak in and watch and taste what I was doing, but he did not help me do it apart from sometimes thinking he would show me how he would do it! My food is different as it is mainly easy family food that we eat in a relaxed way. Our home kitchen is always filled with noise and fun … not the same as restaurant kitchens! Daddy loves the fact I love to cook and I think it makes him happy. I love to talk to him about what I have made.”

What is the biggest misconception about your family that you think the show will clear up?

"People always think that we eat restaurant-style food at home, and we don't! Most nights it is mummy cooking and it is normal homey food, and sometimes it is something put together from what is left in the fridge to make sure it is used up. Mostly though, I think the show is so real because it shows the chaos and noise that we have in our house. It is fun, but busy, and we all join in and try to eat together as much as possible, but that can be hard as we are always all coming and going!"
