Cheetah Cub and Puppy Are Fast Friends

June 11, 2014 -- As a baby cheetah has now discovered, a dog is more than man's best friend.

Raised by San Diego zoo keepers after his mother rejected him, 6-week-old Ruuxa has been selected to serve as a San Diego Zoo Safari Park ambassador. To prepare for the prestigious post, the zoo has introduced Ruuxa to Raina, a 7-week-old Rhodesian Ridgeback puppy.

According to San Diego Zoo Animal Training Manager Susie Ekard, the relationship is not just for the cameras. Cub and pup are said to be inseparable pals.

This squeal-inducing friendship proves it: There's hope for cats and dogs after all.
