Dogs Hit the Waves for Surf Competition

— -- Dogs of all sizes hit Huntington Beach, Calif., to compete in the seventh annual Unleashed Surf City Surf Dog competition.

These dogs are experts at riding and catching waves and can show a couple of tricks to us humans.

Around 65 dogs took part in this multi-heat competition. Some of the world’s most athletic canines took part.

The dogs competed in seven categories and were judged on a variety of skills, including the duration of their ride and their confidence on the board.

The dogs had the opportunity to show their cuteness outside of the water at the event complete with puppyrazzis and even a costume contest.
