— -- This unsuspecting girlfriend had, quite literally, an explosive engagement while filming what she believed was an action-thriller movie with her now husband-to-be.

The happy couple, Seth McMurry and Cymber Browder, were acting as the stars in one of McMurry’s brother’s YouTube videos filled with special effects and stunts, but there was one special surprise that Browder didn’t realize was scripted into her role— becoming a bride.

“The whole thing was kind of last minute,” McMurry, 26, told ABC News of the extravagant proposal. “I proposed on May 7 and then we flew to the New York City the next morning.

For the last three months I had planned on doing it in New York on top of a sky scraper, but then I sat down and thought about her and what she would want, and she’d want her family around.”

He scrapped the big city idea for a local proposal in Little Rock, Arkansas, so Browder’s family could help them celebrate after popping the question. That’s when McMurry started scheming with his brother, Andrew, about the perfect way to make sure Browder had the one thing she asked for in regards to their proposal: “To be surprised.”

“I’m in a lot of his videos,” McMurry said of his brother’s work. “She had asked to be in one of his videos at some point, so this was just the perfect set up. It was the perfect platform to get her reaction on camera and take pictures. I made it like a James Bond theme so she can dress up nice and I could dress up nice.”

Sparks were definitely flying as Browder, 23, remained in character, tossed like a damsel in distress after a helicopter had just crashed behind her, slowly turning to grab onto the concrete wall to pull herself up and look longingly off into the sunset. But while her back was turned, McMurry got down on one knee to steal the show.

Needless to say, she said “Yes.”

“I told her the day I met her that she was the one I was going to marry and she just kind of laughed it off, but who’s laughing now?,” McMurry quipped.

The lovebirds are planning a beach wedding next July.
