— -- Arthur Dean Brook, 85, was enjoying dinner with his wife at Outback Steakhouse last Saturday when he noticed a few young people walk in dressed up for prom.

“These kids dress so different these days,” Brook told ABC News.

He wanted to show the kids a little bit of “prom history” so he pulled out an old picture from his wallet. The picture was of him and his wife at prom in 1949.

“I always carry this picture with me,” Brook said. “It’s been in my wallet for 50 years now.”

Brook said the kids were in shock --so shocked in fact that Logan Gornik shared her experience with Brook on her Twitter page. Gornik’s tweet has since ended up going viral.

Brook had no clue of his social media fame until two of his grandsons shared the post with him. He recalled Gornik saying she was going to show her mother, but didn't know it had been put online.

“They called me to tell me, you know because they’re in the loop of things -- I’m not,” Brook said. “I just use my computer.”

Brook met his wife, Jane, in the fourth grade. They went to the same church, same school and they were even in the same Sunday school class together. They only lived a block and a half apart from each other in Sandy Springs, Georgia The two now live in Macon, Georgia.

Brook said he married Jane after four years of dating. This year will mark their 60th anniversary.

“I have a wife and a girlfriend -- they’re the same person of course,” Brook said. “She is the one.”

Brook said he is currently in the process of writing a book about Jane and their relationship through the years. He wants the future generation of his family to know about them. He said he has titled the book “Predestined With Free Will.”

He added that he is looking forward to his family reading the book one day.

“None of us are perfect, but we have perfect experiences,” Brook said. “If somebody says they’re perfect, they’re lying, but we do have perfect experiences.”
