— -- Now that's dedication.

A New York Mets super-fan said he has no regrets after tattooing his body with the team's logo along with the message reading "2015 World Champs" -- even after they lost the series Sunday night.

"I don’t regret it at all," Josh Davis of Hackettstown, New Jersey, told ABC News today. "I've been a huge Mets fan my whole life. I can always change it. I could always add to it. People are saying to wait until next year and make it a six [2016]."

Davis, 22, said he got his Mets tattoo on Oct. 27 -- the day of Game 1 of the World Series against the Kansas City Royals.

"My whole life since I've been alive they've never won," he said. "I'm pretty tatted as it is, but I said if they got into the World Series I'd get a tat. When they got into the playoffs it became more of a reality. So, I said 'OK, I'm going to do it.'"

Davis took a photo of his new body art and sent it to his childhood friend, Kevin Hynson, who in turn tweeted the image out for others to see.

"He [Davis] sent the picture and he doesn’t use Twitter that much and I said 'Listen, dude, I'm going to do the best I can to make this picture go viral' and he said OK," Hynson, also of Hackettstown, told ABC News. "He did want them to win more than anything. All this attention definitely makes it a little better. That’s one of the reasons I wanted to get it out there. At least it softens the blow of them losing."

Davis said Hynson's tweet of his tattoo has been catching a ton of Internet buzz.

"I'm definitely surprised," he said. "I had a lot of faith and the tattoo artists were saying how cool it would've been if they actually won, but it seems to be getting a lot of attention since they didn't win."

Davis said he has plans to correct his Mets tattoo by adding all the years they won and didn't win the World Series.
