— -- A viral photo proves that age will never stop a football fan from celebrating.

After the Carolina Panthers clinched a spot in Super Bowl 50, residents of the Piedmont Crossing retirement community in Thomasville, North Carolina, showed off their "dab" -- the signature move that Panthers quarterback Cam Newton does after his best plays.

"It’s a dance," Joy Cline, Piedmont's chief marketing officer, told ABC News. "When we were celebrating the Panthers' victory, we said, 'Let's do the dab.'"

Newton’s signature move called “dabbing” has become a craze among his fans. The NFL star pulls his elbow up by his shoulder and "dabs" his head downward—appearing as if he just sneezed into his arm.

Newton typically does the move after the Panthers scores a touchdown.

The photo taken of the residents "dabbing" was snapped yesterday and posted on the facility's Facebook page.

The residents in the photo are between the ages of 83 and 99. Some have been following the Panthers all season, according to Cline.

"They love the Panthers and will be pulling for them at the Super Bowl party that will be held on campus, complete with big screen TV, Super Bowl snacks and lots of teal," she said. "I think its nice to see all ages enjoying the sport and having a good time. I think that's why folks are sharing [the photo]."
