First Look at Target's Next Designer Collaboration: Marimekko for Target

— -- Target revealed it will partner with the Finnish clothing line Marimekko for its latest limited-edition collection today.

The collection of more than 200 print-centric items will be available this spring, Julie Guggemos, Target’s senior vice president of product design and development, announced today on “Good Morning America.”

In addition to the usual apparel and home good items, the collection will also include some items that are a first for Marimekko – like paddleboards, hammocks and parachutes.

The inspiration for the collection include both the Finnish summer - when the sun stays out until close to midnight – and Finnish culture, which weighs heavily on gatherings among family and friends.

The Marimekko for Target collection – which ranges in price from $7.99 to $499.99 - will be available at all Target stores and Target.com from April 17 through May 8, 2016, or while supplies last.

Target’s collaboration with Marimekko is the latest for the Minnesota-based chain. Lilly Pulitzer, Mossimo and Adam Lippes are among the other designers and brands featured in special collections at Target.
