— -- If you think dogs do not love a good car ride, then you haven’t met Pilatus.

Pilatus, a 7-year-old Weimaraner from Phoenix, loves nothing more than to not just ride in but hang out of his owner’s car, and the proof is in the video.

A YouTube video posted by Pilatus’s owner, 32-year-old, Josh Hickam shows Pilatus hanging out of the sunroof of Hickam’s car, just enjoying the breeze.

“He always does that, rides out of the sunroof, so my dad said, ‘Hey, why don’t you put your camera up there,’ so I put my GoPro on the car and captured it,” Hickam told ABC News.

The result is a nearly one-minute video that has attracted over 500,000 views since Hickam posted it to YouTube in July.

“I never had an idea it would go as crazy as it did,” he said. “I only posted it on the Weimaraner group on Facebook and it took off from there.”

While the world is just now enjoying Pilatus’s pose thanks to the video, Hickam says his fellow drivers in Phoenix have long gotten a kick out of seeing 90-pound Pilatus popping out of the car’s roof.

“People look and they laugh and point,” Hickam said. “Everybody thinks it’s just the funniest thing in the world.”
