What the First Lady Plans to Get President Obama for Christmas

— -- Well it’s no secret anymore -- we know what President Obama will get for Christmas.

First Lady Michelle Obama let the news slip today during event at the Children's National Health System, where she read the “The Night Before Christmas” to patients and staff.

“He’s going to get some workout stuff,” she told the children during a Q&A session. “It’s not going to be very interesting this year, honey. Sorry.”

One of the children suggested she get him more ties instead.

As for their daughters, Sasha and Malia -- they will likely be getting money.

“They’re teenagers now. So what do you want?” she asked a child, Joseph. “I want money,” he told the first lady.

“That’s just what they told me,” she responded. “So it will be some version of that. They don’t want me to waste my energy picking out stuff they don’t want. So they’d rather just have the money.”

The first pups, Sunny and Bo, also get presents, but because they were there she didn’t want to spoil the surprise.

“They do. They get lots of new toys and treats. They get presents every year, but they don’t know what they’re going to get this year so we’re not going to talk about it,” she said.
