Storm chaser Roger Hill captured this image of a tornado that flattened the town of Mapleton, Iowa on April 9, 2011. Although it destroyed more than 100 homes, no one was killed and only one injury was reported, the town sheriff said. "It's just a war zone, a war zone," Mapleton resident Sandy Davis told ABC News. According to the National Weather Service, the tornado was a category EF3, with wind speeds around 136 to 165 mph and measured three-quarters of a mile wide.
