— -- Voters in the state of Arizona are heading to the polls on Election Day 2016.

There are 11 electoral votes at stake in Arizona in the presidential race. Arizona allows for early voting. In 1960, Arizona had four electoral votes, today, it has almost tripled to 11 because of the rapid population growth.

Since 1952, the Grand Canyon State has voted Democrat only once, in 1996 when voters backed Bill Clinton. This election, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton has put once-reliably red Arizona in play by sending out first lady Michelle Obama and Sen. Bernie Sanders to campaign in Arizona and increasing the money spent on ads in the state.
