President Obama made some pretty incredible plays while tossing a football around on vacation in Hawaii. On New Year's Day at the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base on Oahu, Obama even face-planted while going after the football – some fairly strenuous sporting for a 50-year-old.

While on vacation in Hawaii, President Obama and his daughters released four 18-month-old turtles into Hanauma Bay at Sea Life Park.

First lady Michelle Obama met with Nelson Mandela, 92, at his home on June 21, 2011, It was the first time Mrs. Obama met South Africa's first black president, who was hospitalized in January. The two view his newest book titled Nelson Mandela by Himself at his home in Houghton.

On her first solo trip to Africa, first lady Michelle Obama with her daughters Sasha left and Malia visited former president Nelson Mandela at his home in Houghton.
