On Sunday, August 28 ‘This Week’ Beat ‘Face the Nation’ in Adults 25-54 for the 10th Consecutive Week

— -- “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” averaged 2.962 million Total Viewers and 796,000 Adults 25-54 on August 28, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “This Week” led CBS’ “Face the Nation” (767,000) by 29,000 Adults 25-54, outperforming the CBS program in the key adult news demo for the 10th week in a row.

Season to date, “This Week” leads CBS’ “Face the Nation” by 20,000 Adults 25-54 (932,000 vs. 912,000), beating the CBS program for the 2nd year in a row and by its largest news demo margin in 7 years – since the 2008-09 season.

“This Week” is improving in both Total Viewers (+14% - 3.231 million vs. 2.836 million) and Adults 25-54 (+6% - 932,000 vs. 877,000) versus its year-ago season averages. In fact, “This Week” is drawing its largest overall audience in 17 years and posting its strongest news demo performance in 7 years – since the 1998-99 and 2008-09 seasons, respectively.
