“GMA” Increases Year-to-Year Total Viewer Lead Over “Today” by Double-Digits

Season-to-Date, “GMA” is Ranking No. 1 in Total Viewers for the 4th Straight Season

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (4.774 million) for the week of December 28, 2015, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “GMA” outdelivered NBC’s “Today” (4.355 million) by 419,000 to win all 15 weeks of the season to date. In addition, “Good Morning America” increased its Total Viewer lead year to year over “Today” by +18% (vs. 354,000 for w/o 12/29/14).

“GMA” was up over the year-ago week in Total Viewers (+4% - 4.774 million vs. 4.596 million on w/o 12/29/14).

Season to date, “GMA” stands the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating “Today” by 322,000 (4.936 million vs. 4.614 million) and taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” defeated “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+35%/+1.246 million), Adults 25-54 (+48%/+512,000) and Adults 18-49 (+36%/+294,000).
