“GMA” Grows in All Key Target Demos from Previous Week

“GMA” Posts 2nd-Strongest Numbers of the Season in Adults 25-54 and Adults 18-49

Season-to-Date, “GMA” Is Ranking No. 1 in Total Viewers for the 4th-Straight Season

ABC News’ “Good Morning America” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (5.122 million) for the week of February 8, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. Winning all 21 weeks of the season, “GMA” widened its margin of victory over NBC’s “Today” (4.892 million) from its lead the previous week by 73% (230,000 vs. 133,000 for w/o 2/1/16) to its largest in 5 weeks – since w/o 1/4/16.

GMA” improved week to week (5.009 million, 1.772 million and 1.303 million, for w/o 2/1/16) in all key target demos: Total Viewers (+2%), Adults 25-54 (+4%) and Adults 18-49 (+4%). In fact, “GMA” posted its 2nd-strongest numbers of the season in both key adult demos.

Season to date, “GMA” stands as the No. 1 morning newscast in Total Viewers, beating “Today” by 279,000 (4.985 million vs. 4.706 million) and taking the top spot at this point of the season for the 4th consecutive year.

During the week, “GMA” outperformed “CBS This Morning” in Total Viewers (+23%/+954,000), Adults 25-54 (+43%/+559,000) and Adults 18-49 (+44%/+413,000).
