“Nightline” Posts Week-to-Week Gains in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49

Grows Double Digits Year-to-Year in Total Viewers

ABC News’ “Nightline” averaged 1.366 million Total Viewers, 485,000 Adults 25-54 and 380,000 Adults 18-49 during the week of August 17, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” beat CBS’s “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (1.104 million, 427,000 and 335,000, respectively) in Total Viewers (+277,000) Adults 25-54 (+74,000) and Adults 18-49 (+62,000). “Nightline” led the CBS program by its largest Total Viewer margin in 9 weeks – since w/o 6/15/15.

“Nightline” posted week-to-week gains (1.300 million and 354,000, respectively, on w/o 8/10/15) in Total Viewers (+5%) and Adults 18-49 (+7%).

“Nightline” improved on the year-ago week in Total Viewers (+13% - 1.366 million vs. 1.213 million on w/o 8/18/14).

Season to date, ABC News’ “Nightline” ranks No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.606 million), outdelivering CBS’ average of “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”/”The Late Late Show”/”The Talk – After Dark”/”The Late Late Show with James Corden” (+257,000) and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers (+107,000).

ABC News’ “Nightline” is anchored by Dan Harris, Juju Chang and Byron Pitts. Roxanna Sherwood is executive producer, and Steven Baker is Senior Broadcast Producer.
