‘Nightline’ No. 1 in Total Viewers for 2nd Straight Week

Season to Date ‘Nightline’ Leads CBS Across the Board

ABC News’ “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.456 million) for the 2nd straight week during the week of April 25, 2016, based on Live + Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” beat CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (1.235 million) by 221,000 and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers” (1.387 million) by 69,000.

In addition, “Nightline” led the CBS program in Adults 25-54 (+43,000 – 544,000 vs. 501,000) and Adults 18-49 (+22,000 – 410,000 vs. 388,000).

“Nightline” owned the Top 2 telecasts of the week in Total Viewers with its Friday (1.671 million) and Monday (1.527 million) airings, respectively, outdrawing every telecast of the week of CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

Season to date, “Nightline” leads CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” across the board: Total Viewers (+279,000), Adults 25-54 (+97,000) and Adults 18-49 (+50,000).

ABC News’ “Nightline” is anchored by Dan Harris, Juju Chang and Byron Pitts. Roxanna Sherwood is executive producer, and Steven Baker is senior broadcast producer. The program airs weeknights from 12:35-1:05 a.m. EDT on the ABC Television Network. Together with “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Nightline” is part of ABC’s winning late-night strategy of airing news and entertainment programming.
