“Nightline” is #1 in Total Viewers

— -- “Nightline” Posts Week-to-Week Gains in Total Viewers, Adults 25-54, and Adults 18-49; Posting Highest Numbers in 4 Months in All Three Key Demos

Season to Date “Nightine” Leads CBS Across the Board

ABC News’ “Nightline” ranked No. 1 in Total Viewers (1.600 million) during the week of October 19, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. “Nightline” beat CBS’s “The Late Late Show with James Corden” (1.154 million) by 446,000 and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers (1.485 million) by 115,000 to take the top spot for the first time this season.

“Nightline” scored week to week increases (1.438 million, 576,000 and 439,000 for w/o 10/12/15) in Total Viewers (+11%), Adults 25-54 (+9%) and Adults 18-49 (+13%) to hit season highs and scoring its strongest numbers in 4 months – since weeks of 6/8/15, 6/15/15 and 6/15/15, respectively.

“Nightline” aired the week’s No. 1 telecast in Total Viewers (1.834 million on Thursday, 10/22/15), beating every telecast of the week of CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and NBC’s “Late Night with Seth Meyers.”

Season to date, “Nightline” leads CBS’ “The Late Late Show with James Corden” across the board: Total Viewers (+240,000), Adults 25-54 (+95,000) and Adults 18-49 (+41,000).

ABC News’ “Nightline” is anchored by Dan Harris, Juju Chang and Byron Pitts. Roxanna Sherwood is executive producer, and Steven Baker is Senior Broadcast Producer. The program airs weeknights from 12:35-1:05 a.m., ET on the ABC Television Network. Together with “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Nightline” is part of ABC’s winning late night strategy of airing news and entertainment programming.
