“This Week” Ranks #1 in Adults 25-54 for the Sixth Time in the Last Seven Weeks

— -- ABC News’ “This Week with George Stephanopoulos” finished as Sunday’s No. 1 public affairs program in Adults 25-54 (867,000) on June 21, 2015, based on Live +Same Day Data from Nielsen Media Research. Taking the top spot for the 4th consecutive Sunday, “This Week” scored its longest winning streak of the season. In addition, “This Week” outdelivered CBS’ “Face the Nation” (+179,000), NBC’s “Meet the Press” (+101,000) and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” (+474,000) to lead for the 6th time in the last 7 weeks.

“This Week” increased its Total Viewer audience from the previous week by 9% (2.693 million vs. 2.469 million on 6/14/15).

For the 2nd week in a row, “This Week” turned in double-digit increases year to year (2.138 million and 628,000, respectively, on 6/22/14) in both Total Viewers (+26%) and Adults 25-54 (+38%). In addition, “This Week” improved the most on its year-ago telecast in compared to CBS’ “Face the Nation” (-5%/-18%), NBC’s “Meet the Press” (+4%/+4%) and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” (+8%/+5%)

Season to date, “This Week” is up in Adults 25-54 (+4% - 875,000 vs. 845,000) versus its year-ago season average. Growing its Adults 25-54 performance for the 3rd year in a row, “This Week” is delivering its strongest news demo performance in 6 years – since the 2008-09 season. In fact, “This Week” is the only program to grow in Adults 25-54, as CBS’ “Face the Nation” (-1%), NBC’s “Meet the Press” (-1%) and Fox’s “Fox News Sunday” (-2%) are all down.

In addition, “This Week” is outdelivering NBC’s “Meet the Press” in Total Viewers (+24,000) and Adults 25-54 (+65,000) for the 2nd-straight year, seeing its largest news demo lead in 21 years – since the 1993-94 season.
