— -- Monday marks the 10th anniversary of the first-ever tweet, and this occasion is as good as any to present some of the most memorable first tweets from the world's greatest athletes.

Some, like Kobe Bryant's and Phil Jackson's, are memorable and artfully crafted #brand messages. Others are nonsensical inside jokes. But most date back to an earlier era, either back to Twitter's halcyon days or before the athlete reached national prominence.
