Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi rank in top 10 of Forbes' Global Celebrity 100

— -- Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are two of the world's most successful athletes, but according to Forbes, they also rank among the top 10 of the world's highest-paid celebrities.

Ronaldo, fresh off winning the European Championship with Portugal, is tied for No. 4 overall (and tops among athletes) with TV personality Dr. Phil McGraw in Forbes magazine's Global Celebrity 100. That ranking comes thanks to $88 million in earnings between June 2015 and June 2016, combining salary and endorsements. Messi is not far behind at No. 8, at $81.5 million.

Overall, singer Taylor Swift tops the list at $170 million, followed by boy band One Direction at $110 million.

Other highly ranked athletes include LeBron James (No. 11, $77 million) and Roger Federer (No. 16, $68 million). Kevin Durant and Novak Djokovic are tied at No. 26 at $56 million, sharing the ranking with Justin Bieber and Kenny Chesney.
