— -- Denver Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said outside linebacker DeMarcus Ware fractured his forearm Sunday in   a 34-20 win over the  Indianapolis Colts and would be evaluated Monday on whether it would require surgery.

Ware had returned for Week 1 after being held out of the majority of the Broncos' offseason program and missing much of training camp with a back injury.

Ware missed five games with back troubles last season.

Ware went without a tackle Sunday but was credited with an assist and a half-sack, which tied him with  Green Bay Packers linebacker  Julius Peppers for 11th all-time in sacks. Their 136 career sacks lead active players.
