Derrick Henry, Christian McCaffrey, Deshaun Watson named Heisman Trophy finalists

— -- Alabama running back Derrick HenryStanford running back Christian McCaffrey and  Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson were named the three finalists for the 2015 Heisman Trophy.

Former  Texas running back Ricky Williams, who won the Heisman in 1998, announced the finalists Monday on SportsCenter.

Henry led the FBS with 1,986 rushing yards and 23 rushing touchdowns this season and helped the Crimson Tide win the SEC championship and land a berth in the College Football Playoff.

McCaffrey was the second-leading rusher in the FBS with 1,847 yards. He broke Barry Sanders' single-season all-purpose yards record while leading Stanford to the Pac-12 championship.

Watson enjoyed an outstanding sophomore season for the top-ranked Tigers. He passed for 3,512 yards and 30 touchdowns while rushing for 887 yards and 11 scores.
