DiFelice reports; Cubs recall Dubois, Wuertz, Mitre and Murray

— -- CHICAGO -- Catcher Mike DiFelice reported to the Chicago Cubs on Monday, six days after being acquired from the Detroit Tigers. DiFelice, who hit .136 in 13 games for the Tigers, was not in the starting lineup against the Montreal Expos. He is expected to be the primary backup to starter Michael Barrett. The Cubs also recalled outfielder Jason Dubois and right-hander Michael Wuertz and Sergio Mitre from Triple-A Iowa. Dubois hit .316 with 31 home runs and 98 RBIss for Iowa. Wuertz was 1-1 with a 2.42 ERA, and Mitre was 6-4 with a 2.98 ERA. The team also selected the contract of outfielder Calvin Murray from Iowa. He hit .311 with seven homers and 54 RBIss. Right-handed reliever Joe Borowski, sidelined since June 5 with a right shoulder strain, was transferred from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.
