May 1, 2014— -- This dog wants to play. All it needs is a glove. Or two.

A pit bull terrier ran onto the field during a softball game between Western Oregon and Simon Fraser University in Oregon Sunday, nabbing two players' gloves and halting the game.

The dog entered through an open gate, running to shortstop. Players swatted at the dog, trying to stop it. But the dog had other plans, yanking the shortstop's glove and running into the outfield.

The dog lost interest in that glove. Maybe the leather wasn't tasty enough.

As the left fielder stood, considering how to stop the pit bull, the dog nabbed that player's glove, too, zig-zagging past the infield and into foul territory before sprinting across the outfield one more time and stealing the show for a few more moments as players laughed.
